Reading room opening hours:

Monday – Wednesday – Friday: 8.15-13.45;

Tuesday -Thursday: 8.15-17.15.

Last request: 13.00

Saturdays and Sundays: closed

Items are delivered during opening hours generally without interruption, except in extraordinary circumstances. No more than 5 items per day can be requested.

The library is closed on the following feast days:

1 and 6 January

5 April

1 May

2 June

24 June (feast of John the Baptist, patron saint of Florence)

15 August

1 November

8 December

25 and 26 December.

It also is closed to the public in the second and third week of August to allow dusting and revisions. During this period a basic information service is provided by telephone or fax.

The monumental area is open to the public only in occasion of exhibitions.
